Shine into our hearts, O loving God, by the the pure light of your knowledge, and open the eyes of our mind to your teaching, and place into us the fear of your commandments, by trampling down on all that is worldly, may we follow a spiritual life, thinking and doing all according to Your will. Our God, eternal and wonderful in glory, keeps His promise for those who love Him.
