Prayer Journal

At the heart of Christian life, is believing in prayer. It is important to set aside quiet time for yourself each day to pray. It is helpful to take notes of your communication with God. Prayer, the ability to communicate with our Creator, is one of the greatest gifts we have. As you begin to walk in fellowship with God, you will grow in intimacy with Him. Each day during your quiet time, select a Scripture verse to focus on. Acknowledge with awe and reverence God's sovereignty and honor. Give thanks to Him for blessings he has bestowed. Present your prayer requests to Him. You may pray in Jesus' name as your intercessor. God hears and answers our prayers. Grow in devotion and awareness of God's love for us.

Pray for others, and for concerns in your community, nation and world. Prayer calls upon God's power.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 NIV

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.
